ROBLOX CODE CAMP – PERFECT FOR THE KIDS
Hey Guys! I don’t know about your guys but life is looking very different these days while in quarantine, so finding activities AND keeping my 2 little ones engaged in learning has been challenging to say the least. But I’m thankful for e-learning and programs like iD Tech. iD Tech Summer and Virtual Camps is an online learning course where you kids can learn various programs such as Minecraft, Roblox and many more. Not only are they learning these programs but they have the opportunity to learn how to create them and even monetize games and programs that they have created. In an era of Minecraft and video games, this was the perfect fit for my son DJ. He already had Roblox on his laptop so being able to learn how to create his own characters and even monetize what he’s created had him SO excited to get started.
What I loved most about this program was that he could do it right from the comfort of our home and still be able to interact with his peers in a very collaborative atmosphere, led by well trained instructors. It’s perfect for ages ranging from 7 to 19. The program was 1 week long for 2 hours and jam packed with great info and resources for each student to be successful.
DJ was enrolled in the Roblox Game Design: Coding and Monetization. In this particular program he was able to learn how to code his own game and learn the beginning of game development. For those of you wondering what Roblox is. Roblox is one of the fastest-growing game creation platforms on the planet, with more than 100 million players per month and top developers making over $1 million a year. Users are able to use Roblox’s built-in editor to create 3D worlds. While being able to Publish, share, and play games with friends on any platform from console to mobile. With this course DJ was able to study games that have been runaway hits and learn how to implement some of the same monetization strategies in your own games.
