Jollof Rice is a very popular dish often enjoyed by Ghanians, Nigerians and West African, that boast lots of flavor and can be paired with vegetables and various meats. Today I’m showing you how I’ve prepared the dish using 2 different spices from the Essiespice collection.

Essiespice is a company that was started by Essie Bartels. Essiespice currently has a collection of 4 different spices. Coco For Garlic, Mango Chili Medley. Mekko Dry Rub and Tamarind Oh.

Ok let’s get into this Essiespice Ghanaian Jollof Rice.

The first spice that I used from the collection was the Coco for Garlic Spice. “This exotic coconut garlic sauce can be added to just about anything and is great for sautéing or braising meats, fish or tofu or even to spice up stews or soups.”

The second spice I used was the “Mango Chili Medley”. According to the website it has a delectable blend of sweet mango, lush vidalia onions, Jamaican scotch bonnet peppers and serves as a essential condiment giving unbelievable flavor to any dish. It can be used as a glaze, dip or marinade.
